Project Description: Two 145'x110' liftboats with 265' legs were built at Boconco Shipyard in Bayou La Batre, AL and delivered to Superior Energy in early 2009. The vessel is designed to meet ABS Liftboat Rules, SOLAS and USCG subchapter L. The vessel with be able to operate in 200' of water in the operating condition. There are three decks of accommodation space to create a comfortable living environment for the crew. The deck and legs have been designed to handle 620 LTons of cargo. There will be two cranes on the deck - a 250 Ton crane and a 70 Ton crane to service the liftboat. The preload tanks have been equipped with large drain valves to help facilitate the unloading of the preload ballast. “The oil industry is rapidly evolving and changing.
